We stopped in and were seated right away. I ordered a burger and fries along with a Malibu and pineapple rum drink, and both were fantastic! What really stood out was the staff. Two specific people, likely a server and a cook, came by to check on us and see how we were enjoying our meal. We ended up having a surprisingly long and enjoyable conversation with them. They were super friendly, funny, and made us feel very welcome. I wish I had remembered their names because their personalities really added to the experience. Overall, it's clear the staff here love what they do, and it shows. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in DC!

Great atmosphere, incredible service, amazing food choices that are all different than the usual 'bar' food. Staff is willing to chat and make recommendations. My husband and I are from out of town and just stumbled upon this place while shopping, decided we will come back during this visit because the vibe was spot on.

City Taphouse in Dupont Circle: Perfect for Post-Meeting Drinks Conveniently near my DC office, City Taphouse is my go-to for drinks after meetings. I usually stick to appetizers, and the 10-spice wings are excellent--flavorful with a nice kick. On a recent Wednesday, they were setting up for karaoke night, adding to the lively, welcoming vibe. Great drinks, tasty apps, and a fun atmosphere make this a solid choice in Dupont Circle!

Food was good! I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was excellent. The mashed old fash was a good cocktail. Service was quick and friendly enough for a Sunday evening. Nice vibes inside. Cozy decor. Good size for a family outing as well, which was good as I was hosting several out of town visitors. A little pricey and very few options that aren't, but it's DC so I suppose it's to be expected. Overall a winner I'd say!

DRAG BRUNCH REVIEW Big fan of Drag Brunch on Sundays! We've been twice and love it! There is an all you can eat breakfast buffet with some pretty tasty stuff. You can also get bottomless drinks (mimosas, aperol spritz). The service is good - they do keep you glass full. If you want to support local drag queens, I say start here.

This review is based on DRAG BRUNCH only. The show was really fun. They have a few excellent performers. The refills of bottomless mimosas are plentiful. The pitfall is the food. The food wasn't very good. I can recommend the French toast and the pumpkin mousse but nothing else was good. Sharing photos of the buffet food with this post. The biscuits and cinnamon muffins were hard as brick. The pizza and waffle was only ok. The eggs were kinda hard. Good for the show and drinks, food is a disappointment.

After a long flight and dropping into a cold winter day, I really wanted a spot with warming food and great beer and ended up here. I also came a few more times throughout the weekend and had great experiences each time. Located off Dupont Circle, it's easy to get here. They have lots of seating for various groups including big booths, bar seating, and a few near the fireplace. All the staff was great including the host stand, bartenders, and friendly and attentive servers each time. The lighting is kept cozy, it's an equally fun or quiet place, depending on what mood you're in. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of food. I had the chicken pot pie and loved it - flavorful and filling. We shared the mini crab cakes and my friend loved the brownie ice cream sundae which I took a bit of. The beer list here is fantastic as well; mostly local beers from the DC/MD/VA area. They had the option of flights, plus draft and can specials. This would be a regular stop if I lived in the area. If you find yourself in DC in need of great beer and a filling meal, it's worth visiting.

I think our server name was Jazmine she was attentive and friendly. She was a recent hire and knew the menu well. The pork belly tacos was good and tasty. The burger i asked for well done it had a lil pink in it but it was good and the fries reminded me of boardwalk style. Would definitely go again. After 7 on a Saturday it does feel like more of a bar style. But don't let the loud music detour you.
